About This Class

Bryan Kest leads an unusually length-oriented flow class that explicitly sets aside upper-body strength work, arm balances, and leg balances in favour of comprehensive stretching and mobility. The class opens in Child's Pose with a thorough breathwork foundation — students are asked to breathe at maximum lung capacity throughout — before moving through Downward Dog, Dolphin, standing side bends, spinal twists, and dynamic forward-fold sequences. The standing sequence includes Warrior One, Warrior Two variations (referred to as "the hero"), extended side angle with a reaching arm variation, triangle, and revolved/twisting variations of both, interspersed with standing-frog (wide-legged squat), horse stance, and chair pose on tiptoes. A long floor section addresses the hips, quadriceps, hamstrings, and spine via seated forward folds, Triang Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana, double-pigeon/fire-log, supine bridge, shoulderstand (Sarvangasana/legs-to-sky), plow, and supine spinal twists. The instructor explicitly notes this is not a strength class and frames every pose as a way to "touch" and care for the body, emphasising modest depth, breath freedom, and absence of competition. The class closes with a structured gratitude meditation and a five-minute Savasana, making mindfulness and mental wellness as central as the physical practice.

This new style class is absolutely magnificent — no repetition, new combinations, it worked every muscle in my body and led to total relaxation at the end. A new favorite in my collection. Thanks, Bryan!

I am really digging these newer classes. I was craving a new format, I mean I love the old classes too, but see what one can manifest if you put your mind in it??!! This class, “India Calisthenics with a yoga vibe” was the perfect mix of strength and stretch. Loved every minute.
