About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a breath-centered power yoga flow framed as "meditation in motion," constantly returning students to deep, fluid breathing as the primary measure of appropriate effort. The class opens in Child's Pose and builds through Down Dog, Cobra, and Plank warm-up rounds before moving into a rich standing and balancing sequence that includes one-legged airplane (Virabhadrasana III variant), bent-knee balancing, extended-hand-to-big-toe-style leg extensions, a karate-chop leg balance he calls "Bruce Lee-asana," Wild Thing (Camatkarasana), and Crow/arm-balance approaches with knee-to-tricep work. Dolphin Pose provides shoulder and upper-back strengthening. Floor work includes locust variations, full Cobra, wide-legged forward fold with hands interlaced behind the back, wide-angle seated forward fold (Upavistha Konasana) with lateral walks, supine twists, and a rock-up to seated. The class ends with a seated gratitude meditation and Savasana. Bryan's philosophical throughline — inspired by Bruce Lee's fatal injury from training aggression — is a persistent invitation to be guided by wisdom over vanity, to ask the body what it needs, and to cultivate equanimity and gratitude as genuine health practices.

This is (hands down) my favorite routine at the moment. Love the leg balances plus upper body sequence. It’s just perfect ???? followed by the wisdom about Bruce Lee~
