About This Class

In this short, approachable kids' yoga class, instructor Amanda Huggins guides young practitioners through a full progression of side-body stretches designed to help them feel taller and stronger. The class opens in child's pose with breathing exercises, then moves through seated side bends and twists, kneeling side stretches (framed playfully as "little teapot" and "banana" shapes), downward facing dog with leg lifts, and low lunge side bends. Each shape is revisited at a new level — floor, seated, kneeling, and standing — so kids can feel the side body lengthening progressively. The pacing is slow and mindful, with consistent breath cues encouraging kids to imagine "breathing into" whichever lung is being stretched. The class closes in Tadasana with a wrist-pull banana stretch and hands to heart center, leaving kids feeling grounded and elongated.

I think this is a really good class for kids because it calms them down and makes them feel stronger and more relaxed. Would totally recommend it!
