About This Class

In this energetic and imaginative kids' yoga class, instructor Amanda Huggins invites young practitioners to channel their inner superhero as they move through a fun sequence of standing and floor-based poses. The class opens in Tadasana with cactus arms and chest lifts, then flows into Triangle Pose framed as a "shooting star" shape, a forward fold rest, Warrior-inspired balancing shapes (flying superhero/Warrior III variation), a Sumo Squat, forward fold, and a tucked ball shape. Students then transition to the mat for supine twists, a knees-to-chest hug, and Shavasana. Throughout, Amanda uses superhero storytelling — flying over cities, saving people, stretching wings — to keep kids engaged, make wobbling feel safe, and encourage deep breathing. The class closes with a seated namaste. It's perfectly suited for children looking for a short, imaginative movement break that builds body awareness, balance, and a love of yoga.
