About This Class
This class opens with targeted seated shoulder warm-ups — forearm clasps, interlaced overhead stretches, and repeated "hello shoulders" openers — before moving into a rhythmic flow structure built around Sun Salutation vinyasas (cobra, up dog, down dog), deep lunges, Warrior One, Warrior Two, Triangle (Trikonasana), Revolved Triangle (Parivrtta Trikonasana), and standing twists (Parivrtta Parsvakonasana). A distinctive feature is the recurring forearm plank and dolphin pose series, used specifically to build shoulder girdle strength, with walking dolphin progressions and locust (Salabhasana) variations with bound arms adding further challenge. Backbend work — including bow-like shoulder openers on the belly — is framed primarily as chest and shoulder opening rather than spinal extension. The instructor explicitly addresses knee sensitivity at the outset. The class concludes with a wide-legged forward fold, yogi squat with shoulder-binding options, supine thread-the-needle, eagle crunches, twists, and an extended Savasana with breath guidance and dimmed lights.

Loved this class! I do have complaints about new website, slow, very slow, difficult to find classes and descriptions of classes. Not getting better with time. Unhappy!!

Wonderful practice to calm the mind and increase circulation in the shoulders. Deep soothing twists and fun stories from Rudy to top it all off. Thank you!!
