About This Class
This class opens in child's pose with a mindfulness-first approach — establishing deep breathing and a quiet mind before any physical movement begins. From there, Bryan leads a progressive flow through downward-facing dog, bird-dog variations, cobra, locust, bow pose, and plank-based push-up sequences that warm the entire back body and build functional strength. The middle portion of the class transitions to the floor for an extended, unhurried exploration of wide-legged forward folds, splits preparation, bound angle pose, seated spinal twists, supine leg stretches, and figure-four (fire log) hip openers. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice around moderation, sensation-based awareness, and calmness as a trainable quality — explicitly discouraging strain and ego-driven depth. The class closes with a supine twist on each side and a generous Savasana with guidance on quieting the mind. The overall arc is strength-and-mobility balanced, with significant floor time devoted to the hips, hamstrings, spine, and upper back.

Thank you, Bryan, with Natalie’s description, I chose your practice. With her mention of “yesterday’s” practice, along with your multiple references, I am lead to delve into it – I am curious. 😉 Grounded was marvelous. Light and Peace.
