About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this expansive "temple to toe" Sunday flow through a carefully layered arc: the class opens on the floor with supine hip openers, a supported shoulder stand (Sarvangasana), plow (Halasana), ear-pressure pose (Karna Pidasana), and wide-legged forward folds to gently warm the entire body. From there, the practice rises through down dog, cobra, and dolphin variations before moving into a demanding standing sequence on each side — lunges, Warriors One and Two, Warrior Three/hero pose, side-angle, triangle, and twisted standing forward folds — interspersed with one-armed side planks and flowing arm balances. Core work appears in the form of leg lifts and seated boat-pose rotations. A bridge and full wheel (Chakrasana) round out the peak, followed by supine twists and a gratitude meditation in savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently subordinates range of motion to breath quality and encourages practitioners to stay within "subtle sensation," making the class accessible across experience levels despite its dynamic, full-body demands. The session targets flexibility, strength, balance, and mobility across the spine, hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and core, and closes with a guided gratitude meditation to support mindfulness and stress relief.
