About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this generous, wide-ranging Sunday flow that opens with supine breathwork and gentle spinal twists before building into shoulder stand (sarvangasana), seated wide-leg forward folds, and a foundational sun-salutation-style vinyasa sequence (down dog, plank, cobra, and transitions). The class then moves through a full repertoire of standing and lunging postures — including Warrior Two (hero pose), extended side-angle lunge, triangle, Warrior One, and a bound/wrapped lunge — punctuated by deep, patient hip-opener holds (pigeon-style low-lunge variations) that Bryan frames as the body's largest "storage depot" for tension. Core work appears in arm-balance transitions, crouching knee-to-elbow drills, locust-style back extensions with interlaced hands, and a held plank with push-up progressions. The class closes with supine twists, a reclined bridge, a boat-pose core sequence with oblique rotation, a seated forward fold, and an extended savasana paired with a guided gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan weaves philosophy around mindfulness, breath as the foundation of all movement, the potency of modesty over depth, and the healing power of a calm, grateful mind.

I loved how I felt after this class. The yin really loosened up my hips and legs before it got rolling. It was a good chance to get back to building strength after some time off. The poses were easily modifiable, a real joy.
