About This Class

This 58-minute restorative class is entirely devoted to unlocking the hips, hamstrings, and lower back through long, supported holds and gentle transitions. The instructor opens with diaphragmatic breathing and seated side stretches before moving to the floor for cat-cow, pelvic tilts, and a thorough thread-the-needle sequence. The heart of the class is a three-variation supine hand-to-big-toe (using a strap) that takes the leg up, out to the side, and across the body — with bolster and block modifications demonstrated throughout. Half happy baby pose, supine twists, and supported bridge with a block further release the hips, spine, and chest. The instructor explicitly frames the hips as a site of stored tension, stress, and emotion, encouraging practitioners to breathe into discomfort and let it dissolve. The class closes with a wide-legged forward fold, a seated loving-kindness (metta) meditation, and Savasana, leaving practitioners calm, grounded, and spacious through the entire lower body.

Deeply healing. Practiced at evening with candles and soft ambient music. Thank you. It was exactly what my soul needed.

I didn’t realize it was minimal on the hips and good chunk of meditation. Felt more relaxing then effective on my hips.

Beautiful practice with a cathartic gratitude meditation at the end.

More meditation than yoga. If that’s what you’re looking for, this would be great. Also, I didn’t feel like my body was warmed up enough to start doing the hip stretches.
