About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a 69-minute dynamic flow built around the theme of deep listening — to the breath, to sensation, and to the body's ever-changing state. The class opens in Child's Pose and Down Dog before moving through standing forward folds with side stretches, squat balances, and elbow-balance / crow (crane) prep. A rich standing sequence follows: twisting lunges (Gramma twist / revolved lunge), wide-legged forward fold with shoulder stretch, three-legged dog, Warrior-flow transitions, and crescent lunges with optional arm reach. Hip-opening highlights include a deep pigeon-style pose (heel-to-knee) and a long low lunge with hamstring and Achilles lengthening. The floor sequence closes the class with supine hip openers (happy baby variation, wide-leg stretch, plow prep), shoulderstand / legs-up, spinal twists, and an extended Savasana with optional gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as a calming "muscle," encouraging students to back off, take breaks, and avoid pain — making this class equally accessible to newer and experienced practitioners despite its dynamic structure.
