About This Class
Bryan Kest guides this 70-minute dynamic flow as a full-body tune-up built around the principle that deep, fluid breathing is the most important thing you'll do in class. The session opens gently in child's pose before moving through down dog, low lunge variations with side-body reaches, plank and cobra sequences, and dolphin pose. A long, exploratory hip-opening sequence — featuring low lunge, lizard, and pigeon-style holds on both sides — forms the heart of the class, giving students extended time to find their personal sweet spot in deep hip flexor and groin stretches. Strength is woven in throughout via plank, chaturanga-style chin-to-floor tricep work, locust with arm and leg lifts, and standing poses including warrior, hero pose, triangle ("Cry Angle"), and a side-angle crunch. Bilateral shoulder-joint work appears in down dog hand-behind-back and eagle-arm-style standing folds. The class winds down with supine twists, a knees-to-chest rock along the spine, and a seated gratitude meditation before savasana. Bryan consistently invites students to back off, skip poses, and honour what they feel, making the class accessible despite its dynamic content. The emotional and philosophical thread — awareness, non-comparison, gratitude as a trainable muscle — is woven throughout, giving the session a distinctly mindful, introspective character.

Did this class Thanksgiving morning 2023. Love Bk’s routines that slowly warm me up sans Sun salutations. A perfect hour of mindful stretches, then a perfect Gratitude meditation to end the practice. I couldn’t have asked for anything more sweet in this holiday meant for giving thanks ????????
