About This Class
This class opens in child's pose with a strong invitation to turn inward, settle the breath, and set an intention — establishing a theme of "allowing" that runs through the entire 65 minutes. From there, the practice builds progressively through spinal balancing (bird-dog with variations), cat-cow, cobra, and sun-salutation-style flows linking chair pose, crescent lunge, and downward dog. The standing sequence deepens into eagle pose, Warrior III with optional half-moon variations, low lunge hip-flexor openers, malasana, and a flowing Second Warrior / Reverse Warrior / Extended Side Angle series. Core work is woven in via forearm plank, dolphin, and "awkward airplane" balance variations. The floor cool-down addresses the hamstrings and spine with seated half-split forward folds, revolved seated stretches, supine twists, and happy baby before a long, guided Savasana anchored in gratitude and breath awareness. The instructor consistently reminds students to back off when the breath becomes choppy, to skip or modify anything that doesn't serve them, and to stay compassionate with themselves — making this class accessible and deeply restorative in spirit even when physically challenging.

Agree that it’s an active (not mellow) flow, and I loved it!!

Good class and very mellow but definitely not a Mellow class. Active maybe. But great cues and love the instructor. Thank you!

Perfect for after a tense day at work. Just enough to feel like I got in a work-out, but not so much that I had to fight to complete each asana.
