About This Class
Bryan Kest guides a full-bodied, 70-minute dynamic flow structured around the theme of equanimity — keeping the mind steady through physical challenge. The practice opens in Child's Pose and builds methodically through Downward Dog, Cobra, Plank, and Locust before moving into a repeating sun-salutation-style flow. Standing sequences include Warrior One, Triangle, and Hero Pose (Virabhadrasana variations), each set up with preparatory half-frog and standing side-body openers. Arm balances (knee-to-elbow/tricep crow variations) and twisting transitions challenge balance and core stability. A rich floor sequence includes Bow Pose, Dolphin, seated forward folds, supine twists, and a signature hip-opener Bryan calls "Mukhasana" (a cross-legged seated forward fold). Throughout, Bryan consistently invites modification — knees down, blocks, fists, early exits — and frames gentleness as the highest form of challenge. The class culminates in a five-minute gratitude meditation in a comfortable seated position, followed by Savasana. Breath awareness is foregrounded at every stage as the primary tool for cultivating equanimity.

I’ve been camping so sporadic yoga w/o internet. Good to be back having Bryan in my ear, reminding me to breathe. Really nice practice to be back on the mat. Thank you.
