About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a rich, hour-plus dynamic flow that frames the entire practice as a training ground for equanimity — the ability to breathe deeply and freely through both the pleasurable and the difficult. The class opens in child's pose with an extended breath-awareness practice before moving through repeated rounds of a six-pose sun-salutation-style flow (down dog, standing forward fold, plank, cobra). The middle section builds into demanding single-leg standing balance sequences including warrior-style holds, airplane pose ("air pain"), and a playful "Bruce Lee" karate-chop balance variation. Students are consistently invited to modify, back off, and personalize. The floor sequence includes baddha konasana, boat pose variations with toe holds and archer's bow (half-bound leg extension), supine leg stretches, spinal twists, and deep figure-four hip openers. The class closes with a long, guided gratitude meditation in savasana. Throughout, Bryan weaves in frank, humorous philosophy around mindfulness, ego, non-judgment, and the value of showing up — "dog shit moments and sweet moments" alike. Props such as blocks and straps are briefly mentioned as options.

Exactly what I needed to practice staying equanamous and at peace as I deal with some tiny turbulences. This class was a perfect reminder of how to allow for all that arrives in our lives with acceptance and grace ! Love the yinnish time on the floor too. Always so very grateful for this practice and for all blessings (so calledcgood and bad). Namaste Bryan, Cliff and fellow yogi travelers !:)

A wonderful, balanced practice — a smooth start, a vigorous crux, and a load of gentle, sweet length to conclude. With the opportunity to indulge in an extra long meditation and śvasana, this class really had it all. Thank you, Bryan!
