About This Class
Bryan Kest leads an expansive, breath-centered flow class that takes the classic sun salutation as its backbone and progressively layers in a rich variety of Down Dog variations — one-handed (Eka Hasta Adho Mukha Svanasana), one-legged, twisted — alongside standing balances, warrior and hero poses, crescent and runner's lunges, pigeon pose, locust and bow variations, plow and shoulder stand, and a closing spinal twist and supine sequence. The class opens leisurely in child's pose with detailed instruction on nasal, full-lung breathing as the anchor of the entire practice, and that meditative thread is reinforced constantly throughout. Students are repeatedly encouraged to work at their own degree, skip anything that doesn't suit them, and treat the class like a "yoga buffet." Strength, balance, core engagement, hip opening, hamstring lengthening, spinal mobility, and shoulder work all feature prominently. The closing includes shoulder stand, plow, supine twists, and a generous savasana. Bryan weaves in extended monologues on stress, mindfulness, non-judgment, and self-care, making the class as much a mental reset as a physical workout.
