About This Class
This class opens lying down with intentional breath work — box breathing, belly breathing, and guided breath holds — before building steadily through tabletop, cow, child's pose, and downward-facing dog. The standing sequence layers chair pose, forward fold, and a repeating warrior-one vinyasa that escalates into knee-to-tricep core work, extended side angle, reverse warrior, triangle (Trikonasana), and half moon, performed on both sides. Floor-based segments include cobra, upward-facing dog, locust, bow pose, forearm plank with hip dips, dolphin, and options for forearm stand or headstand. Inversions are explored through plow pose and shoulder stand with scissoring legs. Hip opening is addressed through pigeon pose on both sides, and the class closes with happy baby, a supine twist, and Savasana with an option for seated meditation. Throughout, the instructor emphasizes engaging muscles consciously one at a time (a prana-activation technique), protecting the wrists by pressing the full palm and fingers into the mat, and never sacrificing the breath for any posture. The overall tone is deeply philosophical and compassionate, framing every breath as an act of self-care.

T’s classes never disappoint. Revisited this classic oldie and it is just as good today. When you ask at end of class “if there’s anything else you want to touch do it now”…. I think you touched it all!!!
