About This Class
Bryan Kest's "Cycles" class is a nearly two-hour vigorous flow structured around a signature repeating sequence ("the cycle") that chains together downward dog, forward folds, squats, standing balances, crescent lunges, twisting lunges, airplane pose, half-moon variations, forward folds, and cobra—each held for only three breaths to build heat, cardio capacity, and stamina. The cycle is repeated multiple times with progressive additions: one-handed down dog shoulder stretches, down-dog twists, push-up sets (building to 12 total), bow-pose variations, and supine core work including leg-lowering holds. The class then transitions to a longer-held floor sequence covering hero's pose, happy baby, supine twists, seated forward folds, half-lotus hip openers, and shoulder/neck stretches before arriving at plow and shoulderstand. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and an extended savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes continuous deep nasal breathing as the defining feature of yoga, personal exploration over aesthetic achievement, and meeting the body exactly where it is. Props are not called for. Cautions are not explicitly stated by the instructor.

I was scared of this one for a long time because of the audio issues, but you came make out what Bryan’s saying the whole time. Definitely worth a couple minutes for the rest of the class – twisted half moon, 12 push ups, neck and hip stretches. The standing half of the class goes by super quickly!
