About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a 69-minute dynamic flow that opens in Child's Pose and Downward Facing Dog before building through several rounds of a core sun-salutation sequence: standing forward folds, Plank, Cobra, and back to Down Dog. The class then branches into one-legged standing work — hip-hinging "airplane" balance, standing knee-to-chest, and extended-leg holds — targeting the hamstrings, glutes, hips, and upper back on both sides. Prone backbends include Cobra, Locust (arms down sides and then extended forward), and Bow Pose, systematically mobilising the entire spine and opening the chest. A floor section addresses the hips and inner thighs through wide-legged seated folds, pigeon-style hip openers, and a deep straddle forward fold. Supine work includes core-intensive leg-lowering, Plow, and Shoulderstand before a seated lateral neck stretch and a twisting supine spinal release. Throughout, Bryan weaves constant nasal-breathing cues, mindfulness reminders, and invitations to tune inward rather than compete — framing the practice explicitly as a moving meditation and a tool for stress relief and presence.
