About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this energetic, philosophy-rich flow session that treats every moment — including transitions — as an unbroken meditation anchored to deep, nasal breathing. The class opens gently in child's pose and down dog, then builds through several rounds of a sun-salutation-style vinyasa (forward fold, standing, cobra, plank, down dog) before launching into an extensive standing balance sequence on each leg: warrior-inspired hip openers, straight-leg and bent-knee balancing (airplane/warrior III variations), twisting standing balance, figure-four balance (pigeon-on-one-leg / "Bruce Lee Asana"), and extended side-body stretching. A dolphin pose hold challenges the shoulders and upper body. A deep kneeling backbend sequence (camel-like) opens the quadriceps, spine, and chest. Floor work includes seated forward folds with one straight leg (head-to-knee / janu sirsasana), a supine core series with scissor legs and boat-like holds, supine figure-four hip stretches (reclined pigeon), and finishing supine twists on both sides. Bryan continually frames effort through the lens of gentleness, moderation, equanimity, and healing rather than performance, coaching students to listen to their body's feedback and breathe steadily through difficulty. The class closes in savasana with an extended relaxation and mindfulness talk.

Challenging and I enjoyed the pace. Fell (literally) in to shavasaana. I don’t always make your livestreams because of my day jobs, but it’s great to catch them.

I didn’t do this class live but I absolutely loved it and I’m happy it was posted as a video option. I’m stuck inside from fires in Oregon and a fucking pandemic. Bryans voice and intentions are saving my mental state and keeping my family from hating me. ? Yoga for the win! I also appreciate that your yoga model, Melissa is a real person who looks and practices like I do. Thank you for keeping things authentic. I so appreciate it all. Namaste!
