About This Class
This approachable flow class moves through a well-rounded sequence that begins on the floor with core-awakening poses like happy baby, butterfly, and Navasana before transitioning through Downward Facing Dog, Cobra, and Sphinx into a grounded lunge series. The lunge flow features crescent moon, Ardha Hanuman (half splits), and a quad stretch twist on each side, followed by deep hip opening in Pigeon Pose and the playful "Sidewinders" hip mobility drill. The class then opens into a wide-legged seated sequence (Upavishta Konasana) with lateral bends and twists before finishing with shoulder stand / legs-up, supine twists, and a full Savasana. Throughout, the instructor Dan Ward offers thoughtful, unhurried cueing that emphasizes listening to the body, protecting the knees, and cultivating balance and self-acceptance — framing the practice as a pathway to feeling good and living with less drama.

This is 23 minutes well spent! A great break from sun salutation/cardio practices. A couple of minutes of abs/core near the start generate a little heat, and are followed by a flow of stretches. Ideal for a day when you don’t have a lot of time and feel like staying close to the ground.
