About This Class
Byron opens this energetic flow on the back in Savasana — unusual for a vigorous class — before moving through supine core work, plank variations, and Cobra/Upward Facing Dog to warm the spine. The class then builds steadily through Sun Salutation A and B frameworks (Chaturanga, Cobra/Urdhva Mukha, Adho Mukha Svanasana), layering in Side Plank variations, Crescent Pose, Warrior One, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Triangle Pose, Half Moon, and a twisting Half Moon. A central squat sequence — yogi squat to standing, repeated with breath as a moving meditation — gives the class its name and keeps the hips, glutes, and inner thighs thoroughly challenged. Bound Warrior and Extended Side Angle variations add shoulder and chest opening, while Dolphin and forearm-plank prep gesture toward inversions. The class winds down with Pigeon Pose on both sides, Baddha Konasana, bridge or full wheel, a supine straddle, spinal twists, and an extended Savasana. Byron weaves consistent mindfulness cues throughout — ego, breath as medicine, non-judgment, presence — making this as much a mental reset as a physical workout. Props (block, strap) are offered as options. Suitable for practitioners with some yoga experience; modifications are offered for knees and wrists throughout.

Byron does not disappoint! Sweaty and powerful sequence with just enough rest throughout. Quality class!
