About This Class

Byron guides this energetic 90-minute flow around a physical and philosophical theme of spinal flexion and extension, weaving that concept through every section of class. The practice opens supine with Bridge Pose articulation, core work, and leg-activation drills before moving into Yogi Squat, Runner's Lunge, and Crescent Pose on both sides. A progressive vinyasa series — including Bent-Knee Down Dog, Plank/Chaturanga, Cobra, and Upward Facing Dog — builds heat and muscle memory across multiple rounds. The standing sequence features Warrior Two, Reverse Triangle, Triangle Pose (Single and Double Extended variations), Prasarita (wide-legged forward fold), Goddess Pose, and Eagle Pose. Mid-class hip-opening work includes deep Runner's Lunge with arm threading, lizard-style low lunge, and Crescent twists. Side Plank, Forearm Plank, and Forearm Down Dog add shoulder and core challenge near the end. The class closes with an inversion interlude (headstand, shoulder stand, or legs-up options), Upward Facing Bow/Wheel, supine hip stretches, Happy Baby, spinal twists, and a generous Savasana. Byron emphasizes diaphragmatic Ujjayi breath, mindful energy allocation, and mobility over flexibility throughout, keeping the tone simultaneously challenging and grounded.

What a wonderful slow, viscous, power practice without classic vinyasa. I really liked the mini-squats with elbows and knees. Thank you!
