About This Class

Byron leads a thoughtful, philosophy-rich Yin Yoga journey that begins and ends in Savasana, inviting students to take a "mental snapshot" at the start and notice the energetic shift by the close. The class progresses from gentle warm-up movements — thread-the-needle, half happy baby, fetal position, tabletop hip circles, forward fold, child's pose, and puppy dog — into progressively longer holds (up to three minutes) in low lunge, lizard-style hip openers at the forearms, pigeon pose on both sides, seated forward folds, and a wide-legged straddle. Byron weaves in detailed guidance on yin versus yang energy, the role of fascia and connective tissue, the difference between pain and sensation, and the importance of stillness and receptivity. Props such as blocks and blankets/pillows are offered as options throughout. The overall texture is slow, introspective, and nurturing — well suited to anyone carrying tension from sitting, stress, tight hips, or a busy urban lifestyle.

OMG fantastic! I had a very tough workout this morning and was sore. Perfect for my afternoon Yoga practice to soothe my aching muscles. Byron you rock! So mellow and loved the mellow bit of flow too. Thank you!
