About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a 104-minute vigorous flow class that is deceptively accessible in philosophy while genuinely demanding in cumulative effort. The class opens in child's pose with an extended introduction to nasal, deep, smooth breathing as the foundational "meat and potatoes" of the practice — a quiet mind through breath awareness. The physical journey begins gently with tabletop arm-and-leg extensions, cobra pumps, and downward facing dog before building through two full warm-up series that layer in squats, standing forward folds, lunges with core twists, and plank-to-cobra vinyasa flows. The vigorous middle section adds knee-to-elbow core work from down dog, warriors with heart-opening backbend variations, standing balance sequences (warrior III / airplane, standing splits, leg-lift balances), half-moon-style side-plank variations, and locust pose holds with bow pose option — repeatedly cycling through vinyasa to elevate the heart rate. The floor closing covers seated forward folds with figure-four hip opening, happy baby, supine leg stretches, plow, shoulderstand, supine twists, and a rock-up to seated. The class ends with a five-minute seated meditation focused on gratitude and mental stillness, followed by savasana. Throughout, Kest emphasizes working to your own degree, backing off rather than forcing, and treating calmness as a trainable muscle. No props are called for, and the only caution explicitly named is for knee sensitivity in the squat/heel-sit position.
