About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a full-length dynamic flow rooted in the Power Yoga tradition, opening in child's pose and down dog before layering three progressively richer flowing sequences. Each sequence builds on sun-salutation fundamentals — down dog, plank, cobra, crescent lunge — adding leg lifts, chair-like squats with a side-bend, core twists, low-lunge elbows-down hip openers, and one-armed balancing variations that double as shoulder stretches between the scapulae. Upper-body strength is deliberately developed through repeated controlled lowering (chin-first) and knee-on-tricep crow prep movements. The second half moves into camel pose on the knees, a wide-legged seated forward fold, supine twists, and a long savasana paired with a guided gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan consistently coaches students to find their personal "sweet spot" — prioritising breath, moderation, and sensory awareness over depth or performance. The class is framed philosophically around letting go of the "never-enough" Neanderthal mentality, making mindfulness and self-acceptance as central as the physical work.

Even though that class left me breathless through all the breathing, that more than dynamic flow left me physically, emotionally and spiritually uplifted! So grateful for the amazing monologue guiding us through the poses of life… such wisdom!! Beautiful!!
