About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a richly philosophical dynamic flow class that moves through a complete arc: warming with downward dog and lateral opening variations, building heat with sun-salutation-style sequences synced to breath, progressing into layered hip-opening lunge sequences (low lunge, crescent, twisted lunge, triangle, and a bound shoulder-under-leg pose approaching Hanumanasana), and winding down through seated pigeon-like hip stretches, supine spinal twists, and a guided Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently deprioritises quantity of movement in favour of quality, breath depth, and personal sensation — repeatedly cueing students to back off if anything feels uncomfortable and to modify with knees down or props as needed. The class frames yoga as a form of self-massage and poetic expression, encouraging a "beginner's mind" and cultivating calmness as a trainable quality. Cobra and bow pose punctuate the backbend work, and the closing floor sequence targets the hips, outer glutes, and spinal rotation before a meditative Savasana with breath-awareness cues.

Strong standing sequence, little bit of backbending, delicious savasana – amazing practice. Stepping on the mat and selecting this class was my best decision today.
