About This Class
This 55-minute dynamic flow is centered on building serious upper-body and shoulder strength through sustained effort rather than speed. The class opens with a landmark 5-minute downward dog to establish breath focus and mental fortitude, then moves through multiple rounds of sun-salutation-style vinyasa linking chair pose, forward fold, crescent, warrior three, half moon, warrior two, triangle, and side angle. Inversion options — including handstand (from standing split and lunge entrances), dolphin, and forearm balance — are woven throughout every major round, always framed as optional so practitioners can stay in down dog or dolphin to build equivalent strength. The standing sequences conclude with wide-legged standing straddle forward folds and a final wheel/bridge. The class winds down with pigeon pose on both sides, a supine bridge or wheel, gentle spinal twists, and a 5-minute savasana. Throughout, the instructor places heavy emphasis on nose breathing as the primary tool for managing intensity, personal awareness, and choosing appropriate modifications — making the class accessible to a wide range of levels while remaining genuinely challenging for advanced practitioners.
