About This Class

Twists & Shout is a dynamic yoga flow centered on spinal rotation, core activation, and full-body mobility. Monica opens the class in child's pose with breath-setting and body-awareness cues, then moves through tabletop warm-ups, sphinx pose, forearm plank, and locust before transitioning upright. The standing sequence features standing twists, runners lunge with arm variations, crescent pose with pulsing twists, warrior three, warrior two, and wide-legged standing folds with eagle arms and interlaced-finger variations. Throughout, Monica layers bilateral work—repeating sequences on both sides—with an emphasis on drawing the navel in on the exhale, lengthening the spine, and using the breath as an anchor. A supine section closes the practice with reclined twists, happy baby (described as "happy cow"), and a final savasana, leaving practitioners feeling both wrung-out and deeply restored.

This is a wonderful class. My “go to” when I’m feeling a little tweaked for whatever reason.

Such a great class! Challanging and rewarding. Thanks Monica your “recommendations” as we move through the flow certainly improve my practice…

Thank you, Monica, your practice is a beautiful aid, as we soon make our transitions, from a memorable year of 2020, into a potential new beginning. May human consciousness also make its rebirth into that of healing, peace, and compassion. Namaste.
