About This Class
This energizing hour-long flow is organized entirely around the theme of twisting — every major pose is framed through the lens of core-initiated rotation rather than passive arm-pulling. The class opens seated with cross-legged twists and boat pose rotations, establishing the foundational principle of using abdominal muscles to drive the spine. A standing sequence layers in low lunge twists, standing splits, Warriors One and Two, Triangle, Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, Half Moon (including a bound variation), and handstand kick-up attempts. Side plank twists and forearm plank variations (including "gratitude pose") build shoulder and core endurance. Hip-opening peaks through Pigeon Pose on both sides, complemented by a reclined sequence of supine twists, happy baby, bridge or full wheel, wide-leg forward fold, plow, and shoulder stand. The class closes with gravity-led supine spinal twists and a long Savasana. Throughout, the instructor consistently cues efficiency over ego — softening the upper ribs, engaging the core, and meeting the body where it is today.
