About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this energizing yet mindfulness-forward flow class that opens with child's pose and a foundational breathwork philosophy — nose breathing, full lung capacity, and a calm mind — before building through three progressively complex vinyasa sequences linking down dog, cobra, plank, and lunges. Standing balance work (airplane, half-moon-style fingertip balance, knee-to-chest holds, and straight-leg extensions) challenges coordination and single-leg stability. Deep hip-opening sequences feature pigeon-style poses, runner's lunge with elbow-on-thigh twists, and triangle pose on both sides. Warrior and crescent lunge flows develop lower-body strength and hip mobility. The floor series includes locust-style back body lifts, bow pose (dhanurasana), seated spinal twists, a shoulder-stand/plow inversion, and core work with scissor-leg holds. Class closes with supine spinal twists and a guided savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as personal and moderation-based, repeatedly inviting students to back off, rest, or modify — making the class accessible despite its dynamic intensity. The overall effect is a thorough full-body tune-up that targets tight hips, hamstrings, upper and lower back, shoulders, and core, while cultivating mental stillness and body awareness.
