About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this dynamic flow class with a dual focus: building physical strength and flexibility across the whole body while training the mind to stay calm under challenge. The class opens in Child's Pose and Downward Facing Dog with extended breath-awareness instruction, then builds through multiple rounds of a Sun Salutation-style vinyasa (Downward Dog, plank, cobra). The standing sequence is rich and progressive — threading together Warrior One, Warrior Two, Humble Warrior, Crescent Lunge, core twist, Trikonasana (Triangle/Cry Angle), and Hero Pose — with deliberate one-minute holds designed to test and develop equanimity. Hip work is deep and sustained: both sides include a long Pigeon Pose, lizard-style low lunge elbow holds, and supreme balancing (one-legged down dog with eagle-arm variation). Twisting shapes appear throughout — including seated twists in lunge and a "flip the dog" side-body opener. The floor cool-down features supine spinal twists and a knees-to-chest squeeze. Bryan weaves continuous philosophy about stress, inflammation, moderation, and self-awareness into every segment, framing the physical practice as a vehicle for mental wellness. Props are not called for. Cautions are minimal but he explicitly flags lower back sensitivity in Warrior One.

The name of this class scared me, but the class was smooth sailing. A little strong arms and shoulders, a little strong standing sequence, but as always, everything felt touched and lengthened. This class stands the test of time.

Awesome class. As the title indicates, a strong flow, complemented by some nice stretches. Hate to admit but I am addicted to this yoga thing !!!

I love those long pigeons. I think when I first started power yoga, holding downward facing dog was difficult to hold. Then dog downward facing dog was restful. Twenty years later, I’m not sure but I do know I love your practices. Thank you.

So grateful I didn’t give into intimidating thoughts when seeing the title for this class. Even though feeling fragile these days, I took the class and loved the invigorating flow. Thanks Bryan for allowing the space for it all… everything, nothing and anywhere in between! Namaste!
