About This Class
This dynamic flow class moves through a full-body progression that begins supine with hamstring and spinal-rotation work, builds through Sun Salutations and standing sequences (Crescent, Warrior Two, Triangle, Chair Twist, Warrior Three, Standing Split, Side Plank), then descends into deep floor-based backbends (Cobra, Bow/Dhanurasana), hip openers (Pigeon with a high variation, Pigeon twist, Double Pigeon/Agnistambhasana), seated wide-leg work (Baddha Konasana, Upavistha Konasana with lateral twists), and supine spinal twists before closing in Savasana. Dan's teaching philosophy runs throughout: prioritise presence over performance, make conscious breath choices, honour what the body needs in the moment, and avoid ego-driven intensity. The class is long-hold-friendly in the hip and backbend sections but keeps a flowing, moderately fast rhythm in the standing sequences, making it accessible to practitioners who can self-regulate their effort level.

The magic of Dan. Nothing else to say. Great class when tired but still want to feel stretched, strengthened and lengthened. Seemed to do a lot while moving at a gentle pace.

So much appreciation for Dan as a teacher/instructor/guide/suggestion giver …. my love and practice of yoga has been re-kindled through his classes on this forum in the last 2months. I hope one day to get to live class with you somewhere in the USA. And if it’s within the next 12mths, all the better…. Gratitude all the way from Oz.

Thanks Dan, I really appreciate the advice on skipping or modifying the vinyasas. I’ve been overdoing them lately. Cat/Cow is a great substitute.

Wonderful class ….lovely vinyasa flows. A little challenge, but not too much. Great for days where you want to move the body but looking for something more mellow!
