About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a full-body, breath-centered class that begins on the mat with grounding breathwork in child's pose before building through a foundational movement sequence — downward dog, cobra, plank, and crescent lunge variations — repeated in progressively refined rounds. Standing balance work (warrior one, airplane/Virabhadrasana III prep, and extended-leg standing balance) challenges stability and focus while reinforcing calm under pressure. Hip-opening sequences on the floor, including deep lizard/low lunge and figure-four/reclined pigeon, target the hips, hamstrings, glutes, and groin. The class progresses into a shoulder-stretch wild-thing-like side plank variation, prone back-strengthening (locust/cobra), bow pose preparation, a shoulderstand/plow sequence, and finishing supine twists before a long savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly instructs students to find their own degree, keep the neck soft, and let the breath guide every decision — framing the practice explicitly as maintenance, self-care, and a moving meditation rather than a performance. Knee and hip sensitivity in child's pose is acknowledged at the outset.
