About This Class
This class opens in Child's Pose and builds steadily through a rich, multi-layered flow that visits Downward Dog, Cobra, Plank, and Chaturanga as transitional anchors, while cycling through deep lunge variations, Side Angle, Triangle, Extended Triangle, half-moon-style balancing, Crane/Bakasana arm balance, shoulder-wrapping twists, Plow, and Shoulderstand. Each sequence is performed on both sides and revisited at a greater depth as the body warms. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as an opportunity to cultivate calmness, presentness, and equanimity — repeatedly cueing students to find their "sensuous degree" rather than push to maximum effort. The class concludes with supine twists, a seated half-lotus forward fold on each side, and a substantial guided meditation combining breath-awareness on the philtrum and a three-minute gratitude practice. The overall arc is physically demanding yet philosophically rooted in self-compassion, making it equally valuable as a strength-and-mobility session and a stress-management tool.

An awesome one. In 20 years Bryan hasn’t gotten me on “lower slowly…your right knee to the floor” but he got me twice in this one! A great meditation at the end.
