About This Class
This full-length dynamic flow class with Bryan Kest centers on the philosophy that deep, continuous breathing is the true work of yoga — emptying the mind and creating presence. The class opens with several rounds of a foundational warm-up sequence (down dog, forward fold, cobra, plank) before layering in chair pose, crescent lunge, and a rich standing-balance series that progresses from airplane wings through warrior three variations to half-moon pose (with or without a block). Warrior Two, Warrior One, and the "humble warrior" appear on both sides, paired with lateral side-angle stretches, spinal twists in a low lunge, and a standing forward fold with hands under feet for deep hamstring work. The floor segment features double-pigeon/figure-four hip openers with progressive forward walks, a long-held hip-flexor lunge (elbows to the ground), and a seated twist sequence. The class closes with a dynamic bicycle-crunch core series requested by a student, supine twists, and an extended Savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes moderation ("gentle is the key to every healthy relationship"), personal intensity over performance, and breath synchronization with movement. Props like blocks are offered as options for balance poses.

great! practicing deep deep breathing, But “things, people, events…” nothing ever dissappears. The deep breathing helps me be less judgmental of people, especially people i have never met. Yoga: practice of being less divisive . Yoga: more union needed in a country that currently perpepuates division, Yoga: a practice of Being less judgmental of everybody is paramount. Not easy, obviously. thus the practice .

Love the pace, allowing me time to feel through the poses and letting go. I have been doing power yoga with Bryan since 2001. Every practice is new and refreshing. Thank you for doing just what you do and sharing.
