About This Class

This energetic 37-minute class with Bryan Kest is a full-body flow designed to warm, strengthen, and lengthen as many areas of the body as possible within a compact timeframe. Starting in Child's Pose to settle the mind, the class quickly builds through Down Dog, Bird-Dog on hands and knees, multiple Cobra repetitions, and rolling sun-salutation-style vinyasas. Standing balance sequences — including Warrior III/Airplane arms, knee-to-chest standing balance, and standing leg extensions — develop strength and proprioception. The middle section features layered standing hip-opener sequences with Crescent Lunge, a bound forward fold, twisting lunge, and a wide-legged standing side stretch that progressively open the hips, hamstrings, side body, and shoulders. A Bow Pose on the belly targets the front body and deep upper back before a transition to the floor for a wide-legged seated forward fold, lateral crawls over each leg, Plow/Shoulderstand, supine twists, and a final Savasana. Bryan consistently encourages students to go "as far as what feels right" rather than maximum range, making this accessible while remaining genuinely challenging. No props are called for; modifications such as dropping the knees in plank are offered throughout.
