About This Class
Spinal Fluidity opens on the back with block-supported bridge articulations and core activation before progressing through low-lunge sequences with occiput-tractioning hand positions, plank and forearm-plank variations, cobra fingertip undulations, and child's pose roll-ups. The standing portion builds through sun-salutation-style flows into crescent-lunge twists, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, standing splits, Chapasana, Half Moon, and a peak wheel/bridge pose. Throughout, the instructor consistently cues "one vertebra at a time" spinal waves, tippy-toe down dog to rolling forward flows, and a playful hopping drill in down dog. Pigeon with sphinx-style cat-cow and three-legged dog hip openers appear on both sides before a final descent through chair into wheel/bridge, Happy Baby, and Savasana. The class suits practitioners dealing with back tightness, stiffness from sitting, and tight hips, and is framed around mindfulness, grace, and spinal mobility as much as physical challenge. Two blocks are called for but made optional throughout.
