About This Class
Smooth Sailing is a 70-minute dynamic yoga flow with Bryan Kest that opens on the back with a gentle, yin-flavored warm-up — supine butterfly, spinal twists, bridge, shoulder stand, and plow — before transitioning through wide-legged forward folds and seated hamstring work. The class then builds into classical sun salutation rounds (cobra, plank, down dog) woven with standing poses including triangle, extended side angle, crescent lunge, airplane balancing, chair pose, and standing side bends. Hip flexor work is deepened through low lizard-style hip opener holds. A push-up sequence (chin-to-ground lowering) strengthens the upper body, followed by bow pose as a counter-stretch. The class closes with supine core work, leg raises, spinal twists, and an extended Savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as a moving meditation, consistently returning attention to deep, free breath as the primary tool for presence, stress relief, and mindfulness. The pace is deliberate and exploratory rather than rushed, with continual encouragement to honor personal sensation over depth or achievement.

lovely..bryans classes are like peacefully moving through a dr zeus book….thanks so much…living completely off the grid over 20 years in the mountains of southern spain so feels nice to ‘share’ my yoga practice again, even in the virtual sense….

Fun transitions!

For this I think I needed to do my own warm up. First poses were too deep too early. And only 31minutes recorded?
