About This Class

This 60-minute all-levels flow with Temitope Sonuyi opens in Child's Pose with breath awareness and pranayama breath retentions before moving into a progressive sequence of Down Dog, Plank, standing splits, Chair Pose, and lunges. The class builds steadily through Crescent Pose, Twisted Lunge, Warrior One, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Triangle (Trikonasana), and Extended Side Angle, with core-igniting knee-to-tricep and knee-to-forehead movements. Hip mobility is a central theme, featuring Runner's Lunge, Half Splits/Pyramid, and Pigeon Pose on both sides. A challenging mid-section includes Vasisthasana (Side Plank), Boat Pose variations, Reverse Tabletop, and a squat sequence with optional crow or arm balance. The class winds down through Happy Baby, supine twists, and an extended, philosophically rich Savasana with guided body-scan meditation. Breath is treated as the primary instrument of the practice throughout, and modifications (bent knees, blocks, lowered knee) are consistently offered. The instructor frames the class around mindfulness, opposition in the body, and self-inquiry, making it as much a mental practice as a physical one.

The instructors instrutions became confusing, which is nerve-racking during the flow–especially since we’re touching such delicate areas
