About This Class

This class opens in Child's Pose with an extended invitation to drop into deep nasal breathing — framed as the "meat and potatoes" of the practice and the primary tool for quieting the mind. From there, Bryan builds through Down Dog, Cobra, and side-opening balance variations before launching into a full "Series of 10" circuit: a repeating sequence of Crescent Lunge, plank lowering, and Cobra done ten times per side, generating significant heat and dissolving muscular tension. Shoulder-opening balances with bound foot grabs, Locust, and Bow Pose target the entire back body, while Plough and Shoulder Stand offer an extended inversion for circulatory reversal. The floor sequence includes Baddha Konasana, a gentle headstand exploration, Boat-style leg lifts, Reverse Table, seated side neck stretches, supine twists, and a rocking transition to seated. The class closes with a guided gratitude meditation and Savasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently deprioritizes aesthetics or depth in favour of sensation, moderation, and continuous deep breathing, making this simultaneously challenging and deeply introspective.
