About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a wide-ranging, breath-centered flow that treats movement as meditation from the very first moment. After settling into child's pose with a detailed introduction to nasal, deep, and smooth breathing, the class builds through down dog, cobra flows, and push-up transitions before branching into side-plank variations, low-lunge hip openers, and crescent lunge. The standing section features airplane balance, standing forward fold, and extended-leg balance work that demands significant coordination, core strength, and single-leg stability. A grounded sequence follows with reclined cobbler's pose, a supine straddle stretch, shoulder stand (described as the "king or queen of all yoga poses"), and plow, before winding down through spinal twists, a double knee-to-chest squeeze, and an extended savasana with a gratitude reflection. Throughout, Bryan consistently de-emphasizes depth and competition in favor of sensation, breath quality, and self-inquiry, making the class as much a mindfulness practice as a physical one. Props are not called for, but modifications (knees down, back knee on floor) are regularly offered.

One of my favorite classes! Just a steady movement on the mat leaves you feeling amazing!
