About This Class
This 63-minute dynamic flow with Bryan Kest opens in child's pose with an extended invitation to settle into nasal breathing and a quieted mind before moving into a carefully rehearsed sun-salutation arc: downward facing dog, bird-dog (opposite arm/leg extensions), cobra, plank, and crescent lunge. Multiple rounds of that core flow build heat and cardiovascular stamina progressively. Standing balance work includes one-legged forward folds, airplane pose, extended-leg balance, and a twist-open variation, all threaded with Bryan's consistent reminder to let the breath — not ego or comparison — dictate depth. Floor sequences layer in prone backbends (cobra, bow/dhanurasana, full cobra exploration), a deep lizard/low lunge hip-opener with an optional forearm-down modification, supine twists, and seated poses including hero/virasana and bound angle (baddha konasana). The class finishes with a halasana/plow-to-shoulderstand transition, followed by supine spinal twists and a brief savasana. Throughout, Bryan explicitly frames the practice as stress relief, mind-steadying meditation, and spinal health — and repeatedly encourages students to modify, rest, or skip anything that doesn't feel right.
