About This Class

This expansive flow opens on the back with extended breathwork and progressive core activation—happy baby, supine twists, leg lifts, and boat variations—before rising through sun salutation fundamentals, pyramid pose, crescent, Warrior One, Warrior Two, extended side angle, reverse warrior, twisted lunges, and half splits. A signature feature is "Eyeball Asana," the instructor's cue to rest the gaze at the third-eye center throughout every shape, deepening interoception rather than external mirroring. Tabletop cat-cow and sunbird transitions bridge the standing and floor work. The class closes with legs-up-the-wall, optional plow pose (Halasana), and a philosophical Savasana that honors the studio's final days. Wrist care is mentioned explicitly. The pace is deliberate and methodical despite the dynamic flow label—each pose is built brick by brick from the breath outward, making it equally suited to practitioners who want to deepen body awareness as those who want a full-body sweat.

I never had the chance to visit the power yoga studio in SM, but this class had me feeling the good vibes all the way across time and space. Thank you for recording these moments for posterity.

This was my first time doing a Temitope class–it will be the first of many!!! I’d describe this one as a “slow burn”! So good!
