About This Class
This energetic yet approachable flow class with Daniel Head builds progressively from child's pose and downward dog warm-ups through increasingly challenging standing sequences. The signature "power chair" (a low, chest-forward squat) and malasana (yogi squat) serve as recurring anchors before the class moves into a full standing leg series featuring crescent lunge, runner's lunge, side plank variations (forearm and straight-arm), side angle pose (multiple hand placements), triangle, half moon, skandasana (deep lateral squat), and warrior two. Upper-body strength is woven throughout via side arm balance progressions, forearm plank, and chaturanga. The floor segment delivers extended pigeon pose holds on both sides, boat pose for core work, bridge (with an optional wheel), supine spinal twists, and a generous 5-minute savasana. Daniel consistently invites students to breathe deeply through the nose, self-regulate intensity, and use modifications freely, making the class accessible while still delivering genuine challenge. The pacing is dynamic with occasional longer holds in hip-opening and restorative moments, creating a satisfying arc from effort to release.
