About This Class
Rudy Mettia leads this energetic, humor-filled flow class with a clear theme: hamstring mobility and playful athleticism. The session opens with standing forward folds and a unique downward-dog hamstring stretch series before moving into a creative "Rudy Series" Surya Namaskar that incorporates straight-leg hamstring stretches, scorpion-heel knee-to-nose coiling, and crescent lunges. Balancing work builds progressively through Warrior One, Warrior Two, Revolve Warrior, Triangle, Half Moon, Tree, and extended-hand-to-big-toe pose. A standout athletic segment features handstand hop-up drills (single-leg and double-leg) taught with hands-on guidance, challenging cardiovascular output and core engagement. The floor sequence includes low lizard lunge hip openers, caterpillar forward folds, and pigeon pose for deep hip release. The class winds down with shoulder stand, fish, supine twists, and Savasana. Throughout, Rudy weaves in injury-prevention reminders — particularly around protecting the lower back during deep forward folds — and motivational storytelling about returning to practice after injury.

Definitely a strength-building workout. Very little cardio and a lot of chatter, so it was hard to meditate.

Another classic I revisited and forgot how sweet it was! A creative warm up, no ho-hum vinyasas, but all the fave poses done in an intelligent sequence. Class flew by, loved every second

Amazing, thanks Rudy!

I love this flow! Thank you RUDY for keeping it real. I’m trying to heal from some chronic injuries and often find myself frustrated trying to do more than I’m ready for. It’s nice to know that this hurdle will pass. Namaste
