About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this dynamic flow class through a carefully layered progression that begins with child's pose and Down Dog, builds through multiple rounds of a sun-salutation-style sequence (including cobra, crescent lunge, and chair pose variations), and advances into challenging standing balances (hand-to-big-toe pose, airplane/warrior III), forearm Down Dog, side plank with bound toe variations, and a pistol-squat balance exploration. The flow then descends to the floor for camel pose (on knees), seated wide-leg forward fold, supine twists, and concludes with a prolonged Savasana and seated gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose around the concept of "sweetness" — finding a personal, moderate degree of effort where breath remains deep and free. He consistently discourages ego-driven overexertion and invites practitioners to modify freely. The class integrates strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness in equal measure, closing with an extended meditation on gratitude. It suits practitioners comfortable with a vigorous flow who also want a grounding, philosophy-rich experience.

Such a great class. And I am so grateful for the gratitude meditations at the end. A couple of decades ago, I didn’t take to them as much, but now it’s one of the parts I look most forward to. Thank you, Bryan and Molly.
