About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a sweeping, full-body flow class that opens on the back with deep breathing as its foundational philosophy — breath is explicitly framed as the "meat and potatoes" of the entire practice and the primary tool for quieting the mind and dissolving stress. The class progresses methodically from supine knee squeezes, gentle spinal twists, bridge pose, and shoulder stand through plow and wide-legged forward folds, then transitions to hands-and-knees work, plank, cobra, down dog, and a richly layered standing sequence featuring crescent lunges, lizard-style hip openers, side angle, twisting triangle, triangle pose, reverse warrior, hero pose, and extended balances including airplane (Warrior III variation) and bent-knee balancing. Backbending builds through repeated cobras and a full bow pose (dhanurasana). The class winds down with reclined figure-four hip stretches, supine twists, a seated gratitude meditation, and a final Savasana. Bryan consistently emphasizes gentleness over aggression, breath over performance, and sensitivity over ego — making the class accessible while still deeply challenging. Props such as blocks and forearm modifications are offered throughout. The overarching tone is one of mindful, sensuous strength-building aimed at full-body care, stress relief, and mental clarity.
