About This Class
Steve leads a calming, approachable 20-minute sequence focused on releasing the front body after long periods of sitting, computing, driving, or texting. The class opens on the floor with supported chest openers using two blocks under the thoracic spine and head, followed by supine twists to ease shoulder and chest tension. Students then move through seated quad and hip-flexor stretches, half Down Dog with forearms, and low lunge variations — including a twisted lunge with a quad stretch — that progressively target the front of the hips and thighs. The class closes with a supported bridge-style position using a block under the pelvis for deep hip-flexor release and gentle hip circles. Throughout, Steve emphasizes breath regulation, nervous system care, and unhurried movement, making this ideal for desk workers, anyone feeling stiff from sitting, or those seeking a gentle mid-day or evening reset.
