About This Class

Bryan Kest guides this hour-long flow with a characteristically unhurried, self-deprecating warmth that immediately dissolves ego and invites genuine body-listening. The class opens in child's pose with an extended meditation on three qualities of breath — nasal, full, and smooth — establishing deep breathing as the central practice throughout. From there, Bryan builds methodically: tabletop arm-and-leg extensions evolve into a side-plank thread-the-needle variation, then into a rehearsed sun-salutation-style flow linking standing forward fold, plank, Chaturanga, cobra, Down Dog, and crescent lunge. Bilateral standing balance sequences — airplane, knee-to-chest, leg-lift variations, and a half-moon-inspired fingertip balance — develop hip-flexor awareness, glute strength, and single-leg stability. A seated wide-knee hip-opener and baddha konasana forward fold address the inner groin and spine, followed by a supine sequence of figure-four (eye-of-the-needle) hip stretches, spinal twists, plow, and shoulder stand. The class closes in Savasana with an invitation to let the breath become natural. Throughout, Bryan explicitly encourages modification, knee-down options for push-ups, and skipping poses that don't feel right, making this class genuinely inclusive while touching strength, mobility, balance, and relaxation in equal measure.
