About This Class

Bryan Kest's LSD (Long, Slow & Deep) class is a floor-based, slow-paced practice built entirely around extended holds of three minutes per pose — with the final forward fold held for a full ten minutes. The class opens with a supine spinal twist and a wide-legged forward fold, then moves through a detailed, methodical sequence addressing the hips, hamstrings, glutes, inner thighs, and spine via poses including Down Dog (the only one in the class), wide-legged seated forward fold, leg-to-chest stretches with big-toe grip, supine twists, Halasana (plow), shoulder stand, a hero/virasana-adjacent quad and psoas stretch, a deep hip-opener with one knee bent back, and a long seated forward fold (Paschimottanasana) as the climactic ten-minute hold. Throughout, Bryan weaves in detailed breathwork instruction — encouraging seven-to-fifteen second inhales and exhales through the nose — alongside philosophical commentary on stillness, stress, reactivity, mindfulness, and self-compassion. The class is framed explicitly as a moving meditation and a safe place to practice staying calm under discomfort. Props (a strap) are called for. The experience is deeply restorative and meditative in nature despite its surprising intensity, finishing with fish pose, supine twists, and a long Savasana.

Holy frijoles! Try to keep mind quiet, body still and try not to laugh at Bryan’s jokes. This is beyond bliss and I feel like spaghetti. Thank you Bryan! This is a super Yin practice!
